AU TMNT 4

I looked back at him and smiled. I didn’t want to be rude and ignore his greeting. Donny came over and sat in front of me. “I see you’re in a good mood” he joked. I laughed sarcastically. He smiled. I folded my arms and leaned back in the chair. I heard footsteps and was blocked off by a jet black haired girl. “Hello boys” I cleared my throat. She looked down on me and snickered. “Why O’Neil, I never saw you there” she said playing innocent. I raised a brow. She walked away slowly. I then realized that she wore highly inappropriate clothing. A midriff with a miniskirt and 3 inch heels does not count into the dress code. I shook my head disappointed. “Is something wrong?” asked Don. I eyed Maria from across the room. He looked at her and looked back at me flushed. “I didn’t even realize she was wearing that” he whispered. Me and Raph had a laugh out of that. “How did you not notice, the only reason she is wearing that is for the four of you” I replied. He looked at me puzzled. “I thought you were the smart one” I implied. He chuckled. Raph then leaned his chair towards us. “Ya shouldn’t pay attention to what other people do or say, you’re a pretty smart chick and gorgeous” I felt a little heat in my cheeks and smiled back. “I mean, you are beautiful…..wait….” “Thanks Raph” I replied. He blushed furiously and shut his mouth.

Lunch…….

I walked over to the fountain alone and sat down. I opened my bento box to reveal sausages, sushi rolls, rice with spice and onigiri. I was about to eat when I saw a couple of shadows on the ground. I looked up to see it wasn’t the guys, but a couple of girls. One was a dirty blonde with blue eyes wearing a long purple overcoat and the other was African American with long dreads down her back in a navy blue sweater. I was confused. “Hi” said the blonde. She held out her hand. “My name is Caitlin” I smiled at her spunk and shook her hand. “The name’s Ellie” I replied. The other smiled and sat beside me. “My name is Nicole, what are you doing sitting all alone out here?” “I was waiting for a couple of friends, they should have been here by now” I replied. “You mean the Hamato Brothers?” Caitlin asked me curiously. I nodded. She smiled. “I’m used to them, I was new last year, until I met Nicole and Dylan” “But she has a crush on Don” Nicole added. Caitlin blushed and nudged Nicole from behind me. I giggled. I looked up to see a boy running over, he was also African American  with  dreads and wore a green jersey with the number 72 on it. “Hey girl, I was worried si-” he paused when his eyes met with mine. “So this is where she was” he finished off.

Confused, I started eating my lunch. Dylan, sat down next to Nicole and gave her a kiss on the cheek. I awed. “Those two have been going out since Elementary school” Caitlin whispered. “Must be true love” I whispered back. She giggled. I heard a distant yell from across the platform. Our heads turned to see Mikey run over. I stood up and was immediately hugged. “I missed you!!” he exclaimed. I giggled. The rest of them ran after and reached the fountain. Leo bowed. “Excuse of for being late, but Mikey just had to get waffle fries instead of regular fries” he said blaming Mikey. “Hey!!!! The regular fries don’t have the special zest I need for my lunch!”  replied Mikey. I had a laugh out of that too. I turned around to see Caitlin hiding her face in her book. I looked at her and  saw she was blushing a bit. I turned back to see Don was standing behind Leo holding his lunch tray. I giggled. “Hey Ellie, can I sit next to you?” I scooted over, leaving an empty space next to Caitlin. He sat down and started eating his lunch. She kept her eyes on her book. “So Ellie, I see you made some new friends” Leo enquired me. I nodded. “This is Nicole, Dylan and Caitlin” I replied. Donny looked at Caitlin and spun his head back in my direction. I could see a faint blush. He tried not to look, but his eyes were glued to her. I tried to hold in my laughter, and finished eating my lunch.

I tied my bento box and threw it in my bag. I yawned. “Whoa, why are you so tired?” Dylan joked. I shrugged. “I guess I didn’t sleep very well” I replied. Nicole then opened the back of my collar and dropped something in. I jumped up and fell into the fountain. I sat up and spit water out “Guess you hate ice?” she joked. I frowned. I shook my hair and looked up again to see Nicole and Caitlin snickering. Raph bent down and offered his hand. I gripped it tight as he pulled me up. “Well, well, well, I see you like wearing black lace” said Jason walking over. I looked down to see my shirt was now wet and see through. I shrieked and tried covering myself up. I then felt a heavy jacket dropped onto me. I looked to see a red jacket hung close to me. It smelled like…..Raph. I gazed up to see Raph cracking his knuckles. “Oh come on Raph, it was just a joke, besides……she was the one who decided to wear that kind of bra” Jason joked. Raph walked over and pulled up his sleeves. Raph gave the first swing, completely throwing Jason to the ground. I didn’t see what happened, but I saw Leo run over and hold Raph by his arms. Raph shook violently. “I’m gonna kill him!!!” he shouted. Jason, with a scared expression, tripped and ran off. “Raph, calm down, what’s your problem?” Leo asked concerned as he released Raph. He didn’t answer, he just walked out of there as fast as he could. I sighed and ran after him. I held his jacket tight around my neck. I began slowing down, when I saw him sitting on the ground against the wall.

I slowly walked over. “Hey Raph, you okay?” I asked concerned. He combed his fingers through his hair and stared off into space. He looked a little flushed. A sat down and crouched in front of him. “Hey, are you listening?” I asked him. He didn’t answer. I went on my knees and held his face in my hands. “Will you just pay attention?” He kept his eyes off of me. “Look at me” I pleaded. His eyes met mine. Raph’s eyes were a really light brown, almost yellow, his skin was so soft and he just kept quiet.

Raph’s view

We just stared at each other for a moment, the sounds of cars and the winds passing by. “I’m sorry” I told her, her eyes were sympathetic. She caressed my face and he went as red as my jacket. I stared longer into her eyes to see that she had green eyes with bits of a darker green mixed in. “Raph, I’m sorry if you got mad because of me” she said sheepishly. I shook my head. “It’s not that, it’s just…..” I couldn’t say it, I had no idea why I acted that way. Was it ‘cause of jealousy, over this girl I met? Or did I like her more than I thought? I was pulled into a hug. “If you ever need me, just give me a call” she whispered. She released me from her grasp and walked away. I wanted to go after her, but , I didn’t know how’d she react. I sighed and slid down the wall further, as she got smaller and smaller into the horizon, until she was completely gone.

After school………………..

Ellie’s view

I walked home tired and uncomfortable. I just couldn’t believe what I did back at school. “Why did I even follow him, I’m just a new girl” I looked down to see I still held his jacket in my arms. “You like giving your jacket away?” I asked myself. I smelled the scent of apples and spice again and smiled to myself. I opened the front door, only to be welcomed by my brother’s waiting arms. He grabbed me tight and cuddled me. “You are such a cutie!!!” he repeated over and over. He pulled me away and looked at my face concerned. “Are you okay, you look a little flushed.” he said touching my face. I shook my head and gave him a fake smile. “No, I’m fine, I just need a small nap” I lied. I went to my room and laid on my bed huffing heavily. I sat up and shivered. Jeremy walked in my room, he became more blurry and ran off yelling about something. I laid back down and felt so much pain in my head.
